Mastering Golf 5 MAX means mastering the classic 3-Click Swing. Precision, timing, and strategy are your best clubs.
The 3-Click System Explained:
- Click 1: Start the swing meter.
- Click 2: Set the power (the higher the bar, the further it goes).
- Click 3: Set the accuracy. Click exactly on the starting line for a perfect straight shot. Miss it, and the ball will hook or slice!
Game Rules
While we bring the arcade fun, the core rules of golf still apply.
Scoring System
The goal is to get the ball in the hole with the fewest strokes possible. Each hole has a "Par" (expected number of strokes). Scoring below Par (Birdie, Eagle) grants huge combo bonuses in arcade mode.
Out of Bounds & Hazards
Landing in water or out of bounds incurs a +1 stroke penalty. You will be forced to take your next shot from the drop zone or your previous location.
Multiplayer & Tournaments
Golf 5 MAX is meant to be played with friends.
Local Couch Co-Op
Up to 4 players can play on the same screen using the classic turn-based system. Trash talk is heavily encouraged.
Global Tournaments
Compete in weekly asynchronous online tournaments. Climb the global leaderboard to unlock exclusive retro skins.

How do I unlock new characters?
Characters are unlocked by completing the Single Player 'Career Mode' and by winning special weekend Tournaments online.
Can I turn off the retro music?
Yes! But why would you? If you must, you can lower the music volume or disable it entirely in the Options menu under the Audio tab.
Is there a practice mode?
Absolutely. The 'Driving Range' mode allows you to practice your 3-click timing with unlimited balls without affecting your stats.
What are Power-ups and how do I use them?
Power-ups like the Rocket Ball or Eagle Vision are earned by stringing together Birdies. Activate them before your shot by pressing the designated Power-up button.
